To say it’s been a journey to get here would be an understatement and I’m SO glad you’re here. It’s still hard to wrap my head around the fact that the passion I discovered for photography has now turned into my full-time career. Pinch me (actually don’t – I want to keep dreamin’)!

Let’s start from the beginning…

Picture it… 2014 at your local Applebee’s… I happened to serve a table where the CEO of a real estate company was seated and he gave me his business card in hopes that I would be interested in working with him someday. Just one short month later I became part of the administrative staff at that real estate company. It was a big change filled with unknowns but I was young, eager, and up for the challenge.

After a few years, management began to recognize that I had a creative eye and approached me with the opportunity to learn how to take listing shoots. In 2018, I was handed a camera and have never looked back! One year later, my passion grew and the view from behind a camera lens became so comfortable that I started booking family sessions. Those first clients are near and dear to me. It was because of them that I was able to develop my passion and grow my skills to reach the point I’m now at in my career. We all know what happened in 2020… COVID-19 ruined pretty much EVERYTHING, am I right? However, maybe not for me… 

During the pandemic, I was given the time to daydream about what my future could look like with this newfound love of photography. This led me to realize that I wanted more than my 9-5 job at the office. With the support of my husband, colleagues and friends, I was able to officially launch my side business, LS Photography Co., in 2021.

Everything that has followed has been a whirlwind it seems. I have spent countless hours behind the camera, in front of my editing screen, and building my business. I’ve been featured in The Bridge magazine, been hired for special projects and have met some of the most amazing people through my work. SERIOUSLY. Nobody touch me in case this is all an illusion – I’m here for it! Given the success I’ve had with my photography as a side business, it has now allowed me to leave my salaried job altogether, and pursue this life that I didn’t even know I wanted until a few short years ago.
