With the start of warmer weather in North Dakota, so begins the start of my favorite season… WEDDING SEASON! Leading up to every wedding, I meet with the couples to establish a timeline for the day and ensure I’ve answered all their questions. It’s such a joy-filled conversation as I sit across from smiling faces and excited giggles which always has a way of reminding me how lucky I am to do what I do. Celebrating people’s love for each other is seriously the best!

All weddings, however, are not created equal. There is something truly special about that first wedding of the season. Going into it is a little nerve-wracking as I find myself asking “Did I remember ____?” “Have I communicated ____ with ____?” “Is my second shooter feeling ready?” Next thing we know it’s the wedding day and we’re all crossing our fingers for a perfect day. And then it happens… the PERFECT day (phew!).

The first wedding of my season was made even more perfect because of the wonderful couple I was able to spend the day with.

Please join me in celebrating Sari + Taylor!

Have you ever met a couple that just makes sense? These two bring out the best in each other and the people around them ( I mean, can’t you feel it  in these photos?!).

Although the day began with gray skies and mist in the air (and a bandaged fingertip – oops!), I’m convinced the joy and laughter that they brought to the day allowed the sun to make its appearance later in the day (which got us some amazing sunset shots!). As the day went on, Taylor continued to bring his personality and Sari’s smile continued to span from ear-t0-ear. The true meaning of the day was beautifully displayed during the unity ceremony when they invited the kids to join them by pouring sand as they started their new chapter as a family. It wasn’t long before friends and family watched on in adoration as they were officially announced as husband + wife and they walked down the aisle followed by their supportive (and super fun) bridal party. Then… It was time to celebrate! And maaaan, did this group know how to CELEBRATE!

Thank you for allowing me to capture your day, Sari + Taylor. Cheers to a lifetime of wedded bliss!
